These Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) govern the use of the online platform and mobile application “PEDAL24” operated by PEDAL24 UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Tribünenweg 26, 22111 Hamburg, Germany. For information about our company, see our Imprint. These T&C apply to all users regardless of device type and apply from July 2025.
“User” refers to all registered individuals using the PEDAL24 platform. A “Customer” is a User who creates a service request. A “Mechanic” is a User who offers or accepts service requests.
“Request” means a published invitation by a Customer for mechanics to submit offers for repair or service jobs.
“Order” is the contract formed when a Customer accepts a Mechanic’s offer for a specific service.
To use PEDAL24, users must register by providing accurate and complete information. Registration is only open to individuals who are at least 18 years old and legally competent in Germany. We reserve the right to reject any registration without explanation.
PEDAL24 connects Customers with Mechanics for bicycle-related services and acts as a digital marketplace. PEDAL24 is not a contracting party to the services offered or booked. The agreement is solely between Customer and Mechanic.
Customers may publish detailed service Requests. Mechanics may respond with offers. When a Customer accepts an offer, an Order is formed. Changes to the Order require mutual agreement.
Payments are processed through an integrated payment system. PEDAL24 charges a service fee for successful matches. Payment is withheld until both parties confirm service completion. Cancellations within defined time windows may incur penalty fees, which will be transparently displayed. PEDAL24 does not refund service fees after order acceptance unless voluntarily decided on a case-by-case basis.
All Users must:
Comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax law, commercial law, labor regulations)
Use the platform in good faith
Avoid circumventing PEDAL24’s system or attempting to contract outside the platform
Not offer, request, or communicate illegal services
PEDAL24 may suspend or block accounts in response to violations of these obligations.
PEDAL24 may use affiliate links for monetization through external advertising networks. These links are clearly marked and involve performance-based compensation.
Ratings
Customers and Mechanics may rate each other after service completion. Reviews must be honest, factual, and may not include offensive content. PEDAL24 may delete or moderate reviews that violate guidelines.
Users can report illegal or inappropriate content via an in-app reporting tool. PEDAL24 will review all submissions in good faith, respond within a reasonable time, and inform the reporting and reported parties of the decision. Abuse of the reporting tool may result in access restrictions.
PEDAL24 is not responsible for the performance or outcome of any booked service. Claims for damages are excluded except in cases of intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. Liability for indirect damages is excluded unless otherwise required by law.
PEDAL24 may modify these T&C with notice. Changes become effective if not objected to within six weeks. Users will be informed of their right to object and the consequences. If objection occurs, the contract continues under the old terms unless PEDAL24 chooses to terminate with notice.
PEDAL24 aims to provide stable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Technical maintenance or updates may cause temporary downtime. Users are responsible for their device compatibility and data usage.
Users may terminate their account anytime. PEDAL24 may terminate accounts with 14 days’ notice or immediately in case of serious breach. Account balances will be settled accordingly.
Consumers have the right to withdraw within 14 days of concluding a contract for paid services unless the service has already been fully performed with the user’s consent. PEDAL24 provides a standard withdrawal form.
These T&C are governed by German law. If individual clauses are invalid, the remainder remains in effect. Jurisdiction for merchants and legal entities is Hamburg.
